The amount of sparklers you need depends on the number of guests, how you want to use the sparklers, and the length of time you want the sparklers lit. It takes a 10-inch wedding sparkler about 45 seconds to burn down completely, and if you want enough sparklers to light up a scene or setting, you’ll need to give each guest anywhere from three to five sparklers each.

Make sure there are enough sparklers in the centerpiece for each guest. For a party favor, wrap the sparklers up in decorative paper to protect the pyrotechnic material and have people open the packages prior to their planned use.
It takes about 45 seconds for a 10-inch wedding sparkler to completely burn out, and that’s the right amount of time to use it as a photo prop. The sparkler burns long enough for the bride and groom to do a few poses for pictures, then move on to the next scene once they burn out.
