I saw this photo and thought I had seen a still shot from a movie. Something about it…maybe everything about it makes me wish I was a guest on this snow filled night. Congratulations to Megan and Stephen Fuller in Lancaster, PA. They managed to get married on a day when almost 2 feet of snow covered the ground.

Love at First Sight

You know it…you are a bride. Love at first sight…it happens. But the kind of love I am talking about is the love of a photo. My love at first sight with my husband happened 19 years ago…age 15. He was wearing camo pants, no shirt, listening to a football game with headphones on at an Alabama concert. yummy!

Need Your Help

These past 2 weeks, I have been overwhelmed with requests for containers for displaying the 20 and 36 inch sparklers. Now I know if I ran to Target, Home Depot or somewhere like that, I could find something amazing. But to steer you towards something online…now that is a different story. If you have any great ideas, I would love to see them! Email me at libba@sparklersonline.com

The challenge is always finding something tall enough for the 36 inch sparklers. Here is one I found recently…from www.etsy.com, of course! I am sure this seller could customize the colors and what a cute laundry hamper or magazine basket after the wedding!

Now, I love my 36 and 20 inch sparklers as they are the reason I started my business…to offer a longer sparkler where you only needed to give each guest one. But the 10 inch sparklers are just so cute to display that I cannot discard them entirely. The custom matchbooks are too much! 10 Year Anniversary

Today, my husband and I are celebrating our 10 year anniversary. We both are from Nashville now living in the Philadelphia area with 2 dogs and 2 kids. We have had so much fun reliving our wedding week…I love to think about all the things I would have changed (those hair wreaths on my bridesmaids, my bouquet, the bridesmaids bouquets, 500 wedding guests, horrific save the date cards just to name a few). However, I love to think about how I was married on the farm where I was born and where I spent my 24 years becoming a strong willed woman in front of all my friends and family. My 7 bridesmaids are still my 7 best friends in the world and you cannot ask for anything better!

One of the luxuries of selling sparklers for weddings is that we have an abundance of sparklers for our own celebrations. Here is a photo of my sweet Hutton playing with sparklers.

Oh how I love containers. It has mystified my husband for 10 years now as every move (we have done 6 so far), I seem to have accumulated more. A container for ribbon, catalogs, spare change, receipts…the list goes on. One of my goals on this blog is to identify some great containers for you to use at your weddings and this site does not disappoint. I guess growing up on a farm makes me love the simplicity of galvanized containers. It reminds me of the troughs in the field used for the cows. Sparklers at the Coldplay concert

Yes, the smart team of Coldplay Productions ordered sparklers from www.sparklersonline.com. Unreal! Here’s the story…

Two weeks ago, Marguerite, production manager with the band Coldplay ordered sparklers online from our site. These celebrities…so discrete! Being a huge Coldplay fan already, I could not resist my curiosity to contact her and ask how they would be used (you can imagine the things running through my head). Sweet Marguerite would not tell me exactly, but instead put our names on the guest list for the concert in Nashville – where we were vacationing that week. To start off the show, each band member (including the adorable Chris Martin…you know, husband to Gwyneth and father to Apple and Moses) arrived on stage in a dark arena to screaming fans carrying a 20 inch sparkler. What a way to kick off the evening! When I tell you I have never been to a better concert, I truly mean it. These guys are insanely talented and put on the most amazing show. Oh how I love the LL Bean totes. I just counted so I could be completly accurate and I have 14. Each one serves a specific purpose such as…clothes to be mended, drycleaning, one just holds other totes, a catch-all for the car, a pool bag…the list goes on. What a cute idea to take this simple staple and use it for sparklers. We embroirdered ours with the word Sparkle, but you could do your new last name or your wedding date. I then used one of the cups my husband was given as a baby to hold matches. Simple and adorable!
